  7. Well all mpega players for the Amiga now are really slows and bads
  8. even these for ppc & gfx boards
  9. mpeg 1/2 video source is public domain and there are lot of documentation on the net
  10. so no excuse to make a good video mpeg player or update for example AMipeg V 1.1
  11. -AMipeg 1.1 is fast and good and can be modified to play at full speed mpeg2 anims with sound
  12. this package is an example of that
  13. (source of Amipeg 1.1 is on aminet)

  15. This little proggy is the best option if you have a 040 or 060/aga
  16. it can play mpeg 1/2 format at 18 bits true colors or grayscale with sound
  17. and will work on a 020 or higher

  19. Requeriments:

  21. -lot of ram

  24. Installation:

  26. -copy mpega,amipeg and splitter to c:
  27. -copy mpega.library and asyncio.library to libs:
  28. -copy opus 5 filetype included to dopus5/filetypes (optional)
  29.  
  30. Please note that if you are using a vga monitor on your amiga make sure that you
  31. have selected "mode promotion" on Icontrol preferences
  32.  
  33. Usage:

  35. doubleclick on VideoMPEGA icon and select any mpeg video file
  36. then choice betewen colour output or grayscale output
  37. or
  38. doubleclick on any mpeg video file on Dopus5 if you have installed the filetype included
